I made a new baby shower banner for a customer. She wanted it to read "It's a Boy" and in the theme of Winnie the Pooh. She sent me a photo of the nursery and the bedding. I decided to go with the same look as the comforter. Peek a boo, images of Winnie and his friends. The nursery is brown and white with polka dots.
Each piece has a white base (flower shape) with a brown circle. I choose not to use pattern paper on this banner because there is 4 character, with lots of color. I used white gel pen and decorated the brown circle bases with faux stitching. The images were created from the Disney collection cartridges Pooh Font and Pooh and Friends by Cricut. The honey pots are chalked with brown, to make them "pop". There are two different types of brown and white polka dot ribbon used to tie each piece together.
I am still not quit sure if I will post this as a new item in my shop. I may need to adjust some things and create a similar banner to post in the future.

First Spectrum Noir Card
Just bought some Spectrum Noir alcohol markers. I figured that the 4 sets of 24 would get me started. I used a C.C. Designs stamp "Birthday Lucy" to create this card for my son's friend. She turned out ok but, could be better. I found that the markers bleed a lot and even when using the Memento tuxedo black ink. While coloring I was finding that I might just need to break down and purchase the rest of the collection of colors. Highlights seem to be not as light in color as I would have like them to turn out. I have been use to using my colored pencils and the control of taking away and adding is much more controllable. I guess I need to color more and practice with my new markers to get use to the different techniques. All in all I do like them but that doesn't mean that I won't still invest in Copic markers as well.
